RIP: Tributes paid to Kildare woman who passed recently

The late Bernadette (Bernie) Glynn (née O'Reilly)

Tributes have been paid to a Maynooth, Co Kildare woman who passed recently.

Bernadette (Bernie) Glynn (née O'Reilly), Newtown Hall, Maynooth, Kildare / Ballyfermot, Dublin, passed peacefully in the loving care of the doctors, nurses and staaff of St John's Ward, Mater Misericordiae University Hospital on March 6 last, with her daughter Audrey by her side.

Bernie is predeceased by her beloved husband Mark. She is the beloved mother of Audrey and cherished grandmother to Amelia and Kate. She will be very sadly missed by her loving daughter, granddaughters, son-in-law Mark, sisters Carol, Catherine and Marie, brothers Anthony and David, relatives, neighbours and friends, and by Eamonn, Aíne and Patrick, who were very much part of her extended family.
May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Bernie will be reposing at Oliver Reilly's Funeral Home, Leinster St., Maynooth (W23V99E) on Thursday (Mar. 12) from 4pm to 8pm, with prayers at 7pm.

The removal will take place from the Funeral Home on Friday at approx. 10:30am to arrive at St. Mary's Church, Maynooth (W23N663) for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by cremation in the Victorian Chapel, Mt. Jerome Crematorium, Harold's Cross at approx. 1pm.

Tributes paid to Bernie on RIP.ie include: “Audrey and family, I am so sorry to hear that Bernie has passed. She was a very kind person and always so ready to help others. Going back many years, we had some great laughs and entertainment while on holidays or on nights out. In all the years I knew her, I never once heard her complain about being ill or hospitalised. She just dealt with it all in her own selfless way. Condolences to Carol, Marie and Catherine. I know you will all miss her very much.”

And: “Deepest condolences Audrey, Mark, and Bernie cherished granddaughter’s Amelia,and Kate on the sad passing of you Lovely Mam may god rest her gentle soul you are all in my thoughts and prayers god bless all of you.”

While another mourner wrote: “Deepest sympathy to Audrey and family may your Mother Rest in Peace.”

And another added: “Deepest condolences Audrey, Mark, Amelia and Kate on the passing of your lovely mother and grandmother. Bernie was such a warm, kind lady. Also thinking of Eamonn, Áine and Patrick who will miss her so much. Go dtuga Dia sólás daoibh.”
