Kildare woman fondly remembered as a 'lovely lady'

A Naas, Co Kildare woman has been fondly remembered as a 'lovely lady.'

Mary Glennon (née Keegan) passed away peacefully at Naas General Hospital on Saturday, November 29 2025.

Mary is predeceased by her brother Peter and sister Claire. She is the much loved wife of Chris, cherished mother of David, Fiona and daughter-in-law Ellen and adored grandmother of Lucy. She is sadly missed by her brothers Pat and Tommy, sister Betty, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces and a wide circle of wonderful friends and neighbours.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Mary will be reposing at the George Mullins Funeral Home, Kilcullen Road, Naas (W91CD0K) on Tuesday, December 2 from 5pm to 7pm with prayers at 6:30pm.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday December 3 with Requiem Mass at 10am at The Church of Our Lady and Saint David, Naas, followed by burial at St. Corban’s Cemetery, Naas.

Donations in lieu of flowers to SVP in Memory of Mary Glennon (née Keegan).

Tributes paid this week on RIP.ie include: “Our heartfelt sympathy to you DAVID on the sad passing of your Mother Mary. Sympathy also to your dad and sister and all your extended family.
Thinking of you all during these sad days ahead. May Mary's kind gentle soul now rest in eternal heavenly peace.”

And: “Deepest sympathy to Chris, David, Fiona and extended family on the passing of Mary. She was a valued member of St. John the Baptist Conference Naas, for many years and her support was greatly appreciated. May Mary rest in peace.”

While another mourner wrote: “Sincere condolences to Chris and family on the sad passing of Mary, a lovely lady. I enjoyed the welcome, the chat and the lemon drizzle cake whenever I called to her home. She’ll be missed and fondly remembered.”

And another added: “Sincere condolences Chris, David and Fiona. Mary will be missed. With sympathy from Joe, Joan, Ruth and Claire.”
