The late James (Jimmy) Byrne
A Naas, Co Kildare man who passed recently has been remembered as “a lovely and pleasant gentleman.”
James (Jimmy) Byrne, Naas, Kildare / Kilnamanagh, Dublin passed peacefully on October 18 2025 surrounded by his loving family, at Naas General Hospital.
James is the beloved husband of Carol and dear father of Neil, Alan and Gary. He is sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, brothers Dominic, Joe, Paschal, Noel and Eamonn, aunt Sr. Kathleen, daughters-in-law Tara and Clodagh, Alan’s partner Danny, brothers-in-law Tommy and Tony, sisters-in-law Bernie, Amy, Jess, Gillian and Rathaela, grandchildren Nathan, Chloe, Sophie, Ryan and Ben, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
James will be reposing on Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm with Prayers at 6.30pm at Murphy Brothers Funeral Home, Church Lane, Naas, W91 VY71.
The removal will take place on Wednesday to the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballycane arriving for 11am Mass, with the funeral immediately afterwards to St. Corban’s Cemetery.
Family flowers only please.

And: “To the Byrne family, may Jimmy rest in peace. A lovely and pleasant gentleman. Great times were had in the Cuckoo's football team where Jimmy excelled himself. Rest in peace Jimmy.”
While another mourner wrote: “My sincere condolences to the Byrne family on the loss of Jimmy. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.”
And another added: “Deepest Condolences to the Byrne Family on the passing of Jimmy a true Gentleman gone far to soon. May his Gentle soul RIP.”
