Kildare woman remembered as a 'sincere , kind , lovely lady'

The community of Donadea is mourning the passing of Kathleen Murphy (née Ahern), St Jude's , Donadea, Kildare and late of Drumcondra, Dublin 9.

Kathleen passed peacefully at her residence on September 27 2025.

Beloved wife of the late Donal (Daniel). Deeply regretted by her loving childen Don, Con, Sheila, Catherine, Aileen, Ronan, Ciaran and Fergal, brothers Maurice, Noel and Bertie, sister Eileen, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren Oisín, Darragh, Thomas, James, Cillian, Eva, Caitlin, Muireann, Sorcha and Finian, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May Kathleen Rest In Peace.

Tributes paid to Kathleen on RIP.ie include: “Deepest sympathies to Catherine, Sheila, Aileen and the extended Murphy families on the sad passing of your dear mum Kathleen. She was a sincere, kind, lovely lady and a pleasure to have known. Thinking of you all at this most difficult time. May she rest in eternal peace.”

And: “Sincere Condolences Con and family on the death of your mam..May she rest in peace.”

While another mourner wrote: “To Catherine, Noel & Family and the Murphy & all the extended family, Our Deepest Condolences on the passing of your beautiful Mother. Holding you close Catherine in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time. May Kathleen Rest in Eternal Peace.”

And another added: “Deepest sympathy to the Murphy family on the sad passing of Kathleen. May she rest in peace.”

Reposing at Oliver Reilly's Funeral Home, Leinster St., Maynooth, (W23V99E) on Friday from 4pm - 7pm, with evening prayers at 6pm.

Removal from her residence by Oliver Reilly Funeral Directors on Saturday at approx. 1.30pm to arrive at Church of the Sacred Heart, Rathcoffey for 2pm Funeral Mass, followed by burial in Mainham Cemetery, Clane.

Those who are unable to attend the funeral, may leave a personal message for the family in the "condolences" section below.
