James (Jim) Dooley

The death has occurred of James (Jim) Dooley, Creevagh South, The Neale, Mayo, F31 EK15 / Shrule, Mayo / Leixlip, Kildare.

James (Jim) Dooley of Creevagh South, The Neale, Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo and formerly of Leixlip, Co. Kildare and late of Shrule, Co. Mayo.

Retired Detective Garda Sergeant (2005.)

Jim passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family and the excellent care of the staff in the Oncology Unit of the Galway Clinic.

Predeceased by his parents, Oliver and Bridie, his brothers Damian and Oliver and his sister Mary.

Deeply regretted by his devoted wife Bernadette (née Coffey) and his cherished daughters, Aoife, Fiona (Murray) and Corrina (Byrne), sons-in-law Phillip and John.

His adored grandchildren, James, Eleanor, Eoin, Cian and Cillian. Lovingly remembered by his sisters Irene (O'Connor) and Fiona (Cleary), brothers, John, Stephen and Vivian.

Jim will be sadly missed by his nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, extended family, dear friends and neighbours.

May Jim Rest Peacefully.

Reposing at the family home (F31 EK15) on Tuesday evening - September 23, from 4 pm until 7.

Funeral cortege will arrive at St., John's Church, The Neale (F31 D620) for Mass of The Resurrection at 12 o'clock on Wednesday, with funeral then proceeding to Shannon Crematorium (V14 PV30) for service at 4 o'clock.

Devoted Husband of the late Kathleen Kane and beloved father of the late baby Imelda.

Removal from the Funeral Home on Wednesday at approx. 12:30pm to arrive at Christ The King Church, Cooleragh for 1pm Funeral Mass, followed by burial in St. Benignus' Cemetery, Staplestown.

Beloved son of the late Eileen (Bun) and Jimmy and brother of the late Catherine. Lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Bridie, treasured daughters Katie and Sarah and their partners, brother Jimmy, sister-in-law Pamela, niece Amy, nephew Neil, grand-nephew Jaxson, extended family, neighbours, work colleagues, many good friends and his four legged companions.

Funeral mass on Monday morning Sept 22 at 12.00 noon in St Flannan's Church with burial afterwards in St Flannan's Cemetery.
