The death has occurred of Michael COONEY, 60 Ashgrove, Tullow Rd., Carlow Town, Carlow / Newbridge, Kildare.

Michael Cooney of 60 Ashgrove, Tullow Rd., Carlow and formerly Moorefield Park, Newbridge, Co Kildare passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on March 26 2025, at Sonas Nursing Home, Tullow, Co Carlow.

Beloved husband of the late Josie, much loved father of Alan, Ciaran, Aidan, Sandra, Lorraine, Siobhan and Serena, adored grandfather of Danielle, Amanda, Sean, Darragh, Shane, Conor, Megan, Nathan, Cian, Aaron, Abbie and Joseph, cherished brother of the late Lee and treasured son of the late Tommy and Kathleen.

He will be sadly missed by his loving sons, daughters, grandchildren, son-in-law John, daughters-in-law Ann, Susie and Carina, brother-in-law Christy, sisters-in-law Chris and Phyllis, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May Michael’s Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq., Carlow (Eircode R93 C863) from 4pm on Friday March 28th, concluding with Prayers at 7pm that evening. Removal on Saturday at 1.30pm to The Holy Family Church, Askea arriving for Funeral Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.

Tom Fennelly

The death has occurred of Tom Fennelly, Bennettsbridge, Athy, Kildare, (Late of Brownstown, Athy).

Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on March 26, in the wonderful care of Naas General Hospital.

Predeceased by his parents and his brothers Jimmy and Jody.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Reenie and his brothers Pat, Eddie, Dermot and Seán.

He will be sadly missed by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and his many friends.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Rigney's Funeral Home, Athy on Friday (March 28th) from 4pm until the conclusion of the Rosary at 8pm.

Removal at 10.30am on Saturday morning (March 29) to arrive at St. Michael's Parish Church, Athy for Requiem Mass at 11am, see livestream link http://www.parishofathy.ie

Burial afterwards in Churchtown Cemetery.

Brigid Reilly (née Ivers)

The death has occurred of Brigid Reilly (née Ivers), Pluckerstown, Kilmeague, Kildare, W91 W6K7.

Brigid Reilly nee Ivers, Pluckerstown, Kilmeague, Co. Kildare. Formerly Grangehiggin, Kilmeague, Co. Kildare.

Unexpectedly, March 25 2025, at her home.

Daughter of the late Maggie and Billy. Sadly missed by her loving husband Dinny, daughters Edel and Rhonda, son Ferghal, son in law Andrew, grandchildren Aoife, Saoirse, Clodagh, Lar, Kate and Mairéad, brothers and sisters Robbie, John, Ned, Mick, Trish, Joe, Mary and Tom, brothers and sisters in law, nephews and nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May Brigid Rest In Peace.

Reposing at her family home (W91 W6K7) from 3pm on Friday with Rosary at 7pm.

Removal by Glennons Funeral Directors on Saturday morning to arrive at the Church of The Holy Trinity, Allen for Requiem Mass at 11am.

Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
