Gardaí renew appeal over Kildare border assault as man remains in critical condition in hospital
A man remains in critical condition following the assault
Laois Gardaí are renewing their appeal for witnesses in relation to a serious assault on the Kildare-Laois border which left a man in critical condition in Dublin.
The incident occurred on the Main Street in Portarlington on Sunday, June 7 at around 1.15am.
Gardaí said a man in his 60s was conveyed to Beaumont Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. His condition remains critical.
They continue to appeal for any witnesses or anyone with information in relation to this incident or who may have video footage (including dash-cam) who were in the area of Main Street, Portarlington between 12.45am and 1.30am on Sunday, June 7.
