Nurney estate will not be taken in charge this year

Cois Caisleann estate in Nurney will not be taken in charge by the council this year as there has been no request made to do so.

The council confirmed that the bond money of €40,000 has been received however no request has been made yet by the residents.

Cllr Mark Wall raised the issue at this month’s area meeting which was held on Monday, April 15, 2019.

The meeting heard that the once a request is made the council will liaise with Irish Water to progress the taking in charge early next year.
