A section of the new Royal Canal Greenway from Maynooth to Kilcock has opened for public use in time for Christmas.
It is for walkers and cyclists to use safely without the stress of traffic and has been described as a ‘timely timely opportunity for people to walk or cycle off any excess calories incurred during the festive season’ by Minister for Transport, Shane oss the Minister for Transport Tourism and Sport.
The greenway will eventually link Kildare to Galway.
