The appeal was made by a local councillor
Kildare County Council (KCC) has been urged to address flooding near the grounds of a GAA club based in North Kildare.
The call was made by a local councillor who attended the latest Clane-Maynooth Municipal District meeting, which took place on Friday, June 5 last.
Near the end of the meeting, Fianna Fáil Cllr Daragh Fitzpatrick asked KCC to ‘address the flooding issue outside Carbury GAA’, referring to the situation as ‘a matter of urgency’.
In response to Cllr Fitzpatrick’s query, KCC said via the report it presented at the meeting: “The Municipal District Engineer will meet with Cllr Fitzpatrick onsite to assess and seek to resolve any outstanding issues at this location.”
