Supermarket giant Aldi is seeking to make changes to its store in Naas, County Kildare.
According to documents lodged with Kildare County Council, Aldi Stores (Ireland) Limited is seeking planning permission to make the changes at the Aldi store located on the Monread Road, Monread North in Naas.
Specifically, Aldi is seeking a single storey extension to the western elevation of the existing single-store Aldi store, including off-licence use (Reg. Ref.: 10500065) by 330 square metres (a total of 1,788 sqm gross floor area, 1,316 sqm net retail floor area).
Aldi is also seeking planning permission for: the extension of canopy, associated signage (reuse and relocation of existing) and replacement of existing DRS unit (42 sqm) with smaller proposed unit (17 sqm).
The company also wants to reconfigure the car park area, and minor alterations are being sought for the vehicular entrance location, car parking (81 spaces, 88 existing), cycle parking (18 spaces, 6 existing), and all associated works to facilitate the development
The date received is listed as October 27 last, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as November 30 and December 21 respectively.
