Féile na Sollán, which was held in Sallins recently was a resounding success.
More than 400 people took part in 15 events across the three days of the inaugural edition of the event.
Although most of those taking part were from the Sallins and Naas area, there were people from all over Kildare, Wicklow and Dublin with musicians coming from even further afield.
The music events were all well attended with a fantastic atmosphere at both the Paddy Clancy and the Fitzgerald family trad sessions, with nearly a 100 people attending the Saturday night performance of the very popular band, The Jeremiahs.
Sean nós dancing and other Irish cultural workshops were also very popular on Saturday afternoon as was the children’s story telling on Sunday morning.
Organisers, community group Sult na Sollán, are confident that it will be back again, bigger and even better next year.
