Ireland's Eurovision hopeful Bambie Thug surpasses 1 million streams of Doomsday Blue

Ireland's Eurovision hopeful Bambie Thug has surpassed one million streams of her song Doomsday Blue.

The Macroom native confirmed the news on Instagram yesterday evening (March 5), stating, "You're bound! Thanks for one million Doomsday streams."

According to Spotify, the song has been streamed 1,000,771 times, making it her most popular tune.

The Cork singer currently boasts over 270,000 monthly listeners on the streaming platform, and she has been featured in a number of playlists including A Breath of Fresh Éire, The Rock List alongside Twenty One Pilots, and New Blood.

Bambie was chosen by the Irish public and international jury on a special Eurosong episode of the Late Late Show in January 2024, narrowly beating Irish language act Ailsha, boy band Next in Line and singer Erica-Cody.

She has also teased the release of a Doomsday Blue music video on her birthday (March 6) by posting what is believed to be a still from the video with the caption, "Happy birthday to me! Who's ready for the music video?"
