Indie 2023
The Indiependence Music and Arts Festival that has taken place in Mitchelstown Co. Cork since 2006 will not return in 2024.
A statement from the Indiependence Instagram page has said:
"It's time for a little break
"We started in 2006 in the town square, since then we've seen it all, rain sunshine and hurricanes.
"We've had some wonderful times and some really difficult ones and now we need a little break to recoup and relook and hopefully come back stronger.
"Indiependence will be taking a break in 2024 with a view to seeing you again in 2025.
"Thank you to everyone who has helped and supported us over the years, we are more grateful than words can explain."

Although they won't be kicking off the festival season in summer 2024, organisers are hopeful to return to its location at Deer Farm on the outskirts if Mitchelstown and welcome back revellers in 2025.
