In a surprise announcement this morning, Electric Picnic organisers have revealed that the 2024 festival will take place earlier than usual and that loyalty early bird tickets have gone on sale.
In a departure from their usual late August/first weekend of September date, Electric Picnic will take place from August 16-18 next year as the festival prepares to celebrate 20 years in 2024.
Loyalty early bird tickets went on sale at 9am this morning to those who pre-registered for the scheme through Ticketmaster.
"A second round of tickets will go on sale as part of the Early Bird offering after Electric Picnic 2023 on 8th – 30th September with both General Admission and Loyalty Scheme tickets," organisers said in a statement.
"There will be a final release of tickets on sale from 1st October.
"And as we prepare to celebrate 20 years of the festival in 2024, Electric Picnic announces Ireland’s leading music and arts festival will take place on 16th – 18th August 2024."
