Gardai seek help in search for this stolen silver Volvo as four gang members arrested
Gardai said they believed the men were part of a group who carried out burglaries across the country.
Four men have been arrested in a probe into an organised burglary gang on the outskirts of Dublin.
Gardaí said they arrested the four following a managed containment operation on the M50 in west Dublin on Thursday morning.
“At approximately 10.30am this morning, gardaí conducted a managed containment operation when they stopped the vehicle and arrested four men, three aged in 20s and one 40s,” a Garda spokesperson said.
They said it is believed the group used the car, a silver coloured 2006 Volvo S40 in a number of burglaries and similar incidents nationwide.
They added the car was searched and a number of house breaking implements, including gloves and face coverings were seized.
“The four men were all arrested at scene and are currently detained under Section 50 Criminal Justice Act 2007 at Garda stations in the Dublin region,” they said.
“Gardaí are appealing to any persons who may have seen this vehicle in their area.
