Mobile units on the day will be operated by The Irish Heart Foundation

Free blood pressure and pulse checks will take place at a County Kildare-based business park later this week.

According to Celbridge Further Education and Training Centre (FETC), the event forms part of Health Literacy Month.

It will also feature mobile units operated by The Irish Health Foundation (IHF).

Speaking ahead of the event, The IHF said: “Two in three adults over 50 have high blood pressure, but half don't know it.”

“Get checked before damage is done,” the IHF added.

As for what attendees can expect, the IHF had this to say: “During a heart health check, our expert nurses will check your blood pressure and pulse, and provide heart health information and advice to help reduce your risk of heart disease and stroke.”

The checks will take place at Celbridge FETC’s premises, which is located in the M4 Business Park in Celbridge (W23 YK2V), on Friday, November 6, 2026.

They will begin at 9am and conclude at approximately 2.45pm.
