Fundraising night

Sensational Kids held its Glitter Ball fundraiser on Saturday, November 12, at the Keadeen Hotel. Over €6,000 was raised in total from the night for the well known children’s charity for children with special needs based in Kildare town.

“We would like to thank all of the 125 supporters who attended and supported the charity,” said PRO Niamh Crosbie.

“The night kicked off with a Prosecco reception kindly sponsored by Naas Credit Union. The wonderful Tracy Piggott was MC for the night.”

Ger Nevin of Reillys Antiques, Prosperous really got the bidding going for the Glitter Ball Auction.

The auction of kindly donated items such as a signed boxing glove from Bernard Dunne, signed Leinster rugby jersey, VIP day at Kildare Village, VIP day at Leopardstown from Paddy Power and a signed number cloth from Ruby Walsh from his 50th Cheltenham winner Black Hercules raised over €2000 to help the 1 in 4 children with special educational needs to reach their potential.

CEO Karen Leigh thanked all who attended supported on the night.

“We would like to thank all of our sponsors and supporters of our charity and of our Glitter Ball,” said Karen.

“We had over 50 prizes to be won on the night thanks to the generosity of local companies”.

“The band Something Else gave their time for free and entertained the crowd till the small hours and a great time was had by all.”
