Strictly Scouts in aid of children’s charity Barrettstown took place in the Keadeen Hotel, Newbridge, last Thursday night, November 10.
Some 24 enthusiastic dancers from Kildare, Wicklow and Laois took to the floor for a range of dances.
From a cha cha to country and Charleston to Motown, there was something to get everyone tapping in their seat.
“This was all in memory of one very special young lady, Sarah Swaine. All monies raised will going straight to Barretstown in memory of Sarah,” said PRO Shauna Mac Gabhann. “Sarah was a scout in Kilcullen who sadly passed away earlier this year.
“Our dancers took to the floor not only for their couples dance but for a group dance as well and it was clear to see that a lot of work had gone into getting these dances to perfection.
”Elise from Dance Lounge got these dancers rocking in time to great music and they made sure everyone in the room had just as good a time."
The event was sponsored by Peter Byrne Building Contractor.
