After a two year wait the state-of-the-art redeveloped Curragh Racecourse will open its doors to the public on May 6, 2019.
For the last two years, the Curragh Racecourse and its facilities have been completely redeveloped but and will be open to the public in the coming weeks.
The CEO of the Curragh Racecourse, Derek McGrath, took the media on a tour of the new facility earlier today, Wednesday, April 17, 2019.
He spoke about the redevelopment project and also the plans for 2019 and further ahead.
“We are trying to get the message across that there is something very special happening here,” he said.
The construction of the estimated €70 million Curragh Racecourse facility was carried out by John Sisk and Sons. Newbridge based Murphy International completed the relocation of the Viewing Room, while Purcell Construction worked on the new building and Stable Yard refurbishment.
