The Kildare football manager will be guest speaker at the Kildare South Chamber October Networking Lunch next week.

Cian O'Neill is due to address the attendance at the event at the Brú House, Newbridge at 12 noon next Tuesday October 4.

The event will feature a private lunch and craft beer tasting in the newly opened venue.

Cian is a former Moorefield player and was appointed Kildare football manager in 2015.

A former lecturer at the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science in the University of Limerick, he was appointed Head of Department of Sports, Leisure, and Childhood Studies at Cork Institute of Technology in September 2013.

Cian was a member of Liam Sheedy's management team that won the Munster Hurling title in 2009. Following successful stints with management teams in Tipperary, Limerick, Mayo and Kerry, he was lured back to his native county.

“Going home to Kildare is the perfect fit, it was the right time for me,” he told the Chamber.

The networking lunch will also feature the Business Awards category for the month - Retail/Customer Services.

Four speakers will be given the opportunity to give a short presentation and be in with a chance to be voted onto the shortlist of final nominees for the overall awards night next year.

Admission for the lunch for Chamber members is free and non members can attend with admission of €10.
