Permutations ahead of the final group stage round of the Kildare JFC

There are still two knockout spots up for grabs headed into the final round of group stage games
The final group stage round of the Tom Cross JFC is upon us and four of the six knockout spots available from the three groups have already been populated. You can see the full fixture list Kildare JFC below.
In Group A both Ratchoffey and St Kevin’s are already through, the winner of their game at the weekend is in with a chance of receiving a bye to semi’s but both are into quarter-finals regardless. Rheban and Robertstown have a dead rubber to look forward to.
The Junior Championship is structured with the three first-placed teams going into an open draw with two teams receiving a bye to the semi finals, while the remaining first-placed team and three second-placed teams play. There will be an open draw with no repeat pairings.
Castlemitchell are through from Group B to at least a quarter-final. They play Ballykelly who are bottom and the former are through because Cappagh and Kildangan have two points each but play each other so both cannot catch Castlemitchell who are on four. The winner of Cappagh and Kildangan will progress, Cappagh will do so if their game is a draw with their superior points difference.
Ballymore Eustace are top of Group C on four points and face Athgarvan. They can’t fall behind both Kill and Athgarvan even if they lose having beaten Kill already. Kill will face Ardclough and will in all likelihood win that game so they would go on to four points too. Ballymore and Kill progressing is the most likely outcome, Athgarvan need to produce a huge upset to progress but a win would put them above Ballymore on head-to-head and through.
