The Waterford native had managed the Kildare senior team since October 2024

The Executive Committee of the Kildare Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA) has announced that Pat Sullivan’s term as Manager of the Kildare Senior Ladies Football team will not continue into 2027.

Sullivan had managed Kildare senior team since October 2024, ensuring Division 1 survival in his first season in charge before final round relegation in 2026.

Sullivan did however lead the team to a first Leinster SFC final since 2009 (and only their second ever), as well as back-to-back All-Ireland quarter finals, including their most recent near-miss against Ulster champions Armagh.

Kildare LGFA Executive added, “We would like to place on record its sincere gratitude to Pat, as well as his entire backroom team, for their dedication, hard work, and commitment to Kildare LGFA throughout their tenure.

We would like to wish Pat and his management team the very best in all their future endeavours.
