Brendan Cawley
As disclosed last week in the Leinster Leader, Kildare's Brendan Cawley has been officially named on the elite panel of referees for this season's football championship by the Referees Development Committee.
The Sarsfields man is just one of two new appointments, the other bring James Molloy of Galway.
Brendan Cawley becomes the first Kildare referee on the elite panel of referees since Raheens' Mick Monahan was among one of the top officials throughout the country.
