Kildare crowned Leinster camogie champions

Kildare were crowned Littlewoods Ireland Camogie Division 3 League champions this afternoon following a great win over Limerick in Birr, on a final score line of Kildare 2-9 to 0-11.

Trailing by two points at  the break Kildare fought back to level but looked in trouble late on when Limerick were awarded a penalty. However Tanta Johnson stood her ground and denied Limerick. Siobhan Hurley then converted  a 45 before a late goal from Holly Tynan secured a brilliant victory for The Lilies.

Scorers: Kildare: Siobhan Hurley 0-8 (4f, 3 45’); Caoimhe Shiels 1-0; Holly Tynan 1-0; Lea Sutton 0-1. Limerick: Rebecca Noonan 0-8 (2f, 2 45’, 1 pen); Leanne Browne 0-1; Chloe O’Brien 0-1; Aisling Cunningham 0-1; Aine Cunningham 0-1.
