Kildare manager Cian O'Neill
Kildare senior Football manager, Cian O’Neill, is expected to announce changes to his backroom team for the upcoming season, this weekend.
It is understood all three selectors from the 2016 season, Pádraig Brennan, Bryan Murphy and Brian Flanagan, are unable, for various reasons, to continue into 2017.
Pádraig Brennan, a member of the Defence Forces, has been assigned an overseas post in 2017, thus ruiling him out, while Murphy and Flanagan’s decision will be officially announced at a press conference, expected this Sunday.
Former Kildare star, Ronan Sweeney, who was a selector with Niall Carew with Sligo last season, will be named as one of the three new selectors while two more selectors also expected to be named this weekend.
It is expected that an initial panel of players will also be named on Sunday, but will not include any players due to play in the interemdiate final on Sunday, or those involved in the senior final on Sunday week.
