Three goals from wing-back Dean O'Donoghue helped Celbridge to a fully-deserved nine point win over Moorefield to book a place in the Joe Mallon Motors SFC semi-final at Cedral St Conleth's Park, this afternoon.
Playing with the strong wind in the opening half the boys from the north of the county dominated proceedings and led at the break 1-12 to 0-4.
On the change of ends Moorefield certainly gave it their all, hitting five two-pointers but despite that Celbridge kept plugging away and in fairness were never really in any danger of being caught and two more goals from Dean O'Donoghue saw the winners book a semi-final spot for the 12th season in a row and a meeting with champions Naas, on a final score line Celbridge 3-19 Moorefield 1-16.
