Offaly came out on top in this afternoon's AFL Division 3 final at Croke Park, repeating their legue win of just two weeks ago. This time The Faithful had just two points to spare but they were good value for that winning margin.
Offaly went in at the break leading by three points 1-10 to 0-10.
A second goal from Cormac Egan (Jack Bryant was the earlier goal scorer) and Offaly looked well on their way 2-15 to 1-14 on 56 minutes, Harry O'Neill having palming to the Offaly net earlier.
Kildare gave it their all and while they got the lead back to two, it was not to be and Offaly held on, to take the title on a final score line of Offaly 2-17 Kildare 1-18.
