Kildare 2-16

Carlow 0-14

Kildare registered their second win of their Leinster Minor Hurling Championship campaign with a fine win over Carlow. A strong wind in the faces of The Lilies in Fenagh meant keeping pace with the home side in the first half was crucial. And, in much the way they did in the first game against Laois, grab a goal too.

The sides went in at the break level with Kildare at 1-7 to Carlow's 0-10, with Cian McGrath getting his third goal of this campaign already so a job done for Adrian Kinsella's side.

It was nip and tuck for the 15 minutes following the restart, but The Lilies put their foot down coming down the home stretch and a sharp 1-1 on 48 minutes with a Tom Power goal and a superb score from Joey McNulty saw them move clear.

Kildare would run out victors as they shut out Carlow with a fine defensive display from their full-back line once again.
