Neasa Dooley in action for Kildare in 2023
Lidl National Football League Division 2 Round 4
Kildare 0-8
Tipperary 0-7
A win is a win as they say and that is all that will be on the minds of the Kildare ladies team after they ground out a tough away victory in Tipperary. In what was undoubtedly their toughest Division 2 tie thus far, Kildare survived a late scare and a missed free-kick from the trailing side to take home all the points.
After leading all the way through, it looked Kildare might have to settle for a draw as Tipperary poured on the pressure late. However, credit must go to how the Lilywhites closed out this game by retaining possession and limited their opponents chances to equalise.
Despite it being far from their finest performance, as is seemingly always the case with this team, they found a way. Diane O'Hora's team remain top Division 2 with yet another win on the board, making it four from four in the league and now 18 wins in-a-row.
