Davy Burke's Maynooth got off to an ideal start with a convincing win over MTU Cork in their Sigerson Cup opener. There was plenty of Kildare members of the Maynooth squad with the likes of Luke Killian and Shane O'Sullivan picking up scores on the night. However, among the best for the winning side was Meath pair Eoghan Frayne and Ruairi Kinsella who notched 2-4 between them, as part of a firing front line for the Kildare college.
