Leinster GAA: Naas win it in extra time to advance to Leinster final

Kildare champs pull clear after the sides finished level

Another day of extra time drama as Naas eventually got the better of St Loman's Mullingar on a final score line of 1-15 to 1-10 with man of the match Darragh Kirwan getting the vital goal in the first period of extra time.

St Loman's, playing with the aid of a strong breeze, led at the break by three points, 1-7 to 0-7, the vital  goal coming from corner forward Shane Dempsey who hit 1-2 in that opening half.

Slowly but surely Naas broke down the Loman's in the seocnd half with Luke Mullins converting a 45 on 56 minutes to force extra time.

A Darragh Kirwan three minutes into the opening period of extra time set up the Kildare champions who lead at the break 1-13 to 1-10, Kirwan also gettieng the point.

Playing with the aid of the breeze of the second period of extra time Loman's were hit with a blow when Darragh Kirwan punched a point on 723 minutes with Tom Browne adding another; Loman's failing to score in the second period of extra time.

A hard fought win for Naas but fully deserved on a final score line of Naas 1-15 St Loman's 1-10.
