AIB Leinter Club: Kildare champs, Naas advance to semi-final

Naas booked their place in the Leinster Club SFC semi-final with a ten point win over Summerhill at Manguard Park, Hawkfield this afternoon.

Hard to see a ten point margin mid-way through the second half as Naas, having led at the break 1-5 to 0-3, the goal coming from Sean Hanafin on seven minutes, while Summerhill had their best period in the third quarter, cutting the lead back to two.

However, Naas upped their game; a Darragh Kirwan punched point quickly followed by a fine goal from wing back Eoghan Prizeman made it  2-8 to 0-8 on 51 minutes.

Naas dominated the rest of the game tacking on no less thn four points, Summerhill failing to raise another flag.

Final score: Naas 2-12 Summerhill 0-8.

Naas now meet St Loman's of Westmeath in the semi-final in to weeks time in Mullingar.
