SOLAS Eco Garden Centre is abuzz with excitement as we transition from a successful Easter weekend into a week filled with engaging events and activities. We have our sights set on embracing the warmer weather and preparing our community for a lively summer season. Our focus this week includes mindful activities for children, World Earth Day celebrations, a car boot sale, a Tidy Towns clean up event and our ever-popular farmers market. SOLAS is committed to promoting fresh, local produce and sustainable living, so join us in experiencing an activity-packed week that highlights the best of what our vibrant community has to offer.

10am-noon: Litter Picking with Portarlington Tidy Towns followed by free Tea in SOLAS

10am-2pm: Weekly Farmers Market – featuring the best of local farm produce

Sunday, 23rd April

Food Court & Cosy Cafe

SOLAS – PLANTS

Pulmonaria, commonly known as Lungwort, is a low-growing, spring-flowering plant perfect for shady spots. Its bee-friendly flowers come in pink, blue, or white, and its silver-speckled leaves add interest to your garden. Lungwort is an excellent ground cover or edging plant, so consider incorporating it into your landscape this season.
