Serious issue at Kildare station 'needs urgent repair before someone's hurt'

There is major concern in Kildare over dangerous potholes at a busy train station
A serious issue has been raised on social media about large potholes in a Kildare train station car park.
The potholes are posing danger to motorists, cyclists and pedestrians especially for whose who use the Sallins train station services on a regular basis.
A post was created on a Naas community page which flagged the dangerous area in Sallins/Naas train station in Kildare.
The post, written by a concerned local, said: “There are serious potholes inside the parking area at the Sallins/Naas train station that are becoming a safety hazard for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.

“I’m sharing this photo to raise awareness and to urge local authorities or representatives to take action. This area clearly needs urgent repair before someone gets hurt or a vehicle is damaged. Please help bring attention to this issue.”
The post has received frustrated comments from people equally frustrated with the issue.
One person said, “Shocking, that’s why we pay road tax”.
Another person commented with: “Yeah, I have to be really careful going in and out of these on my motorbike.”
James Lawless TD commented under the post and said: “Hi all, we have written to Irish Rail and have raised this matter directly with them. If you could please contact our office email: [email protected] also we can provide updates to you.”
Irish Rail was contacted for a comment but has not responded.
