Planning approved for €300k apartments in Kildare Town

The accommodation consists of eight self-contained suites as well as extension/alterations
Planning permission has been approved for a €300k apartment accommodation in Kildare Town.
According to Construction Information Services (CIS), approval was granted to Race Academy and Centre of Education (Race Training Academy), Dublin Road, Kildare Town for the development.
A planning application was submitted to the local authority on July 28 2026, and was approved on September 21 2026.
The proposed development consists of the following:
- Provision of two student apartments in lieu of eight self-contained living suites;
- Single storey flat roof extension to the West;
- Single storey mono pitch extension to the East;
- Changes to building footprint and elevations;
- Changes to roof profile and material;
- Provision of external wall insulation;
- Provision of bike store;
- All associated site development works.
The total site area is 0.11 ha.
