Cars abandoned and tough conditions once again for rural dwellers
Snow fall overnight was as predicted by Met Eireann leaving Kildare covered in drifts never seen before in living memory.
Numerous roads are impassable, including many important regional roads and in at least once case, on the Hill of Caragh, a car was abandoned last night.
