A 19-year-old man is due to appear at a special sitting of Naas District Court at 8pm this evening, Sunday, April 14, charged in connection with the murder of Jamie Lindsay in Athy last week.
Three other people remain in custody this evening in connection with the case.
Three men and a woman were arrested last Friday evening by Gardai investigating the murder.
They were detained during a search and arrest operation in Stradbally and Athy. A car was also siezed during Friday’s operation.
Mr Lindsay, aged 20, was gunned down near his home on the Coneyboro estate on Saturday evening, April 6.
Originally from Dublin, he was known to the gardai and described as a “low level drug dealer”.
