Temporary plan for new north Kildare gaelcholaiste

The Kildare Wicklow Education and Training Board (KWETB) have appointed a consultant to prepare a planning application for the temporary rented accommodation for the new North Kildare gaelcholaiste at Manor Mills, which opens in September.

The consultant will then procure a contractor to supply and install the prefabs along with the required services. It is not possible at this stage to give an exact date.

A principal for the North Kildare gaelcholaiste took up duty on  May 13.

The Minister for Education  has told general election candidate, Emmet Stagg, that KWETB are taking a managed approach to provision of accommodation for students in Maynooth which consists of accommodation in Manor Mills for September 2019 and temporary rented accommodation on site at Maynooth Post Primary School.  

Mr Stagg welcomed the arrangements but said  

Welcoming the continuing arrangements for the opening of the school in September, Mr Stagg said the accommodation arrangements are not the best.
