Craft market for Moat Theatre in Naas

The Moat Theatre in Naas is launching a monthly craft market in the newly decorated foyer space, starting Sunday May 12 at midday.

Showcasing the work of local crafters, artists and cake makers, the market will take place on a Sunday each month for the rest of the year. The theatre has offered tables for crafters at no charge for the inaugural event, and following that, a small fee will be charged.

The foyer space in the theatre currently hosts an exhibition by local artist, Josephine Hardiman with illuminated calligraphy focusing on Kildare heritage. Prints and cards of these beautiful pieces are available for sale all week.

Visitrors and exhibitors can enjoy a coffee in the theatre’s foyer, browse through the crafts, from glass to wood, ceramics to paintings.

The Moat Theatre is fast becoming a hub of creative activities in Naas, ranging from art exhibitions, monthly “sip and paint” events, the craft market and drama classes, alongside its usual theatrical programme.
