MEP McGuinness Kildare democracy warning

Mairead McGuinness MEP

“Globally democracy is on the decline. We need to be cautions about our democracy here in Ireland” European MEP, Mairead McGuinness said at the launch of the Fine Gael Kildare North local election candidates at the Westgrove Hotel last night.

Regarding the rise of far left and far right groups in Europe, and supporting others, Ms McGuinness said there was “no value” in being divided on issues. “We owe it morally and ethically to help others.”
