Gardai in Naas believe that two burglaries carried out in the area are linked.
The occupant of a residence at Millbank, Oldtown, returned home on April 5 to find it had been broken into after a concrete brick was thrown through a class panel. About €2,000 worth of items were taken including jewellery, sunglasses and a handbag. It happened between 3.30pm and 9.30pm.
The second incident took place in the Harbour Road area on the same day between 5.30pm and 6.30pm. Again the occupant returned home to make the discovery and the premises had been ransacked. A back window had been smashed and €600 worth of jewellery was taken.
