Two Kildare schools through to final of Junk Kouture

Scoil Mhuire Community School, Clane's Lunar Lady and Lexlip Community College's MIELIKKI

Students from two Kildare schools have made it through to the grand final of Junk Kouture.

Lexlip Community College and Scoil Mhuire Community School, Clane were chosen at the East regional finals which were held at the Helix on March 4.

Leixlip’s Mielikki design and Scoil Mhuire’s Lunar Lady will go on to represent Kildare in the finals at the Helix, Dublin on May 2.

10 outfits from a number of Kildare schools showcased at the regional finals.

The competition, sponsored by Bank of Ireland, challenges secondary school students to create unique, original and innovative outfits from recycled materials and junk. Students make their designs out of unwanted ‘junk’.
