Plants stolen in Naas have been replaced

Plants stolen from the Naas fairy flax garden on Blessington road have been replaced.

Some €250 worth of plants and trees that just been bought with money donated to bucket collections as well as from the Friends of Naas Hospital and Tesco were stolen within a couple of days of being planted, about two weeks ago. Naas Access Group have thanked Tesco (Blessington road, Naas) for their support and generosity.

“We will not let a few rotten eggs spoil the town and ruin the community spirit for which the garden was intended. The replacement plants and flowers are more generic and hopefully less tempting to those who steal from the community,” said Naas councillor Sorcha O’Neill.
