Up-and-coming Naas singer, Elliot Davis, has been awarded an Ad Astra Performing Arts scholarship at University College Dublin — one of the most prestigious third level scholarships in the country.

Elliot joins the esteemed Ad Astra Academy, current members of which include the likes of Leinster and Ireland rugby stars Garry Ringrose and James Ryan.

Ad Astra Scholarships are awarded to a select number of top performing students who wish to continue to develop their artistic or sporting talents, while at the same time pursuing a high-quality academic experience at UCD.

The 20-year-old student is in his first year of Medicine at UCD and is a past pupil of Newbridge College.

He studies voice under the tuition of vocal coach Owen C Lynch at Newbridge Vocal Academy.

The Naas native has big plans for 2019, and is determined to continue to launch his career in music alongside his medical studies.
