Naas District Court has refused jurisdiction in the case of a man charged with assault causing harm in a supermarket car park in Sallins.

When the case of Christopher O'Brien (31), 14 Loughbollard, Clane, was called at Naas District Court yesterday, February 13.

Garda Sergeant Jim Kelly said the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) had indicated that the case was a (more minor) summary one.

Judge Desmond Zaidan heard the injured party was allegedly punched and received cuts at the Lidl car park, on June 16 last. He refused jurisdiction and adjourned the case to May 1 for a book of evidence to be prepared.
