File image

A Naas company, along with an Edenderry-based concern, faces action by an environmental watchdog.

Arrow Group in Naas is associated with a number of food concerns including some at Naas Industrial Estate.

Separately, Edenderry-based Rosderra Irish Meats Group, a pork processing concern is also listed.

The Environmental Protection Agency included both on its National Priority Sites list along with six other concerns around Ireland.

They are on the list for “failing to meet the necessary environmental standards.”

The EPS also says they face further enforcement action “from the EPA to secure compliance.”

The main compliance issues arising from the listed sites are causing odour and noise nuisance and failing to properly manage wastewater discharges.
