Serious overcrowding levels at Naas Hospital today

Naas General Hospital

There is a serious overcrowding problem at Naas Hospital today.

Some 25 patients are on trolleys having been admitted through the accident and emergency department.

This the highest overcrowding figure of any hospital in the eastern region today - apart from Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown, where 36 people are on trolleys.

There are 24 patients on trolleys at Portlaoise Hospital and  28 at Tullamore Hospital.
