Advance parking signs are in the pipeline for Naas

Information about parking in Naas is to be provided by visitors before they reach the town.

There are plans for Kildare County council to provide advance parking information.

According to Kildare County Council it has carried out a “preliminary examination” of information signs as well as outline costs with a view to putting up parking information signs on the approach roads to Naas. This has been done in conjunction with city and county councils in Limerick.

KCC says that the project will need to be agreed and coordinated with the operators of the private car parks in Naas, which operate to different rules than apply to the facilities operated by KCC.

KCC says this work will start this year, provided enough money is available.
