Newbridge duo through to final of TG4's Junior Eurovision competition

A Newbridge duo are through to the final of TG4’s Junior Eurovision competition.

Anna O'Connor and Ava Eustace were chosen as a wildcard to compete in the final this Sunday, at 8:30pm.

The winner will go on to represent Ireland at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song contest in Minsk.

32 singers, aged 9-14 years, were selected to go through to the televised heats.

In the semi-finals, Anna and Ava sang an original Irish song written with help from Tj Sweeney and Jack Moran and translated to Irish by Kyle Dunne.

The duo are part of Leah Moran stage school.
